Tagfox (“the app”, “we”) is a Shopify app that prints barcode and price labels for products. This policy explains what information the app uses when a merchant installs it, and what happens to it. Tagfox is operated by DIGIGID.
Information the app uses
When you install Tagfox, Shopify gives the app access to parts of your store. The app uses:
- Store details: your shop domain, store name, store currency and primary domain, to format prices and build product links on labels.
- Product data: product titles, variants, prices, compare-at prices, SKUs, barcodes, vendors, product types, images and stock levels, to print them on labels.
- Orders: when you start from an order, only the products and quantities in that order are read, to fill in how many labels to print. Customer names, addresses, emails and payment details are never read or stored.
- Inventory transfers: when you start from a transfer, only the products and quantities in it are read.
- Access token: Shopify provides a token so the app can make these requests. It is stored securely on our server and deleted when you uninstall the app.
Information the app stores
- Your label settings, saved presets, logo, a short list of recent print jobs and your monthly label count are saved as app data inside your own Shopify store (app-owned metafields). Shopify removes them when the app is uninstalled.
- When you choose to generate barcodes, the new codes are written to the barcode field of those variants in your store, as you requested.
- Our server keeps only the session needed to talk to Shopify (shop domain and access token).
Label PDFs and ZPL files are created in your browser. Your labels are not uploaded to or kept on our server.
Customer data
Tagfox does not collect, store or process personal information about your customers. We respond to Shopify’s mandatory privacy requests (customer data requests, customer redaction and shop redaction) as required.
How information is shared
We do not sell or rent any information. Information is processed only by the services needed to run the app:
- Shopify, where your store data lives and which handles app billing.
- Hetzner Online GmbH, which hosts our server in the European Union (Finland).
- Cloudflare, which protects and delivers our website and app traffic.
We may disclose information if required by law.
Logs and security
Like most websites, our server records technical request logs (such as IP address, time and page requested) to keep the service secure and fix errors. These logs are kept for a limited time. All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS.
Retention and deletion
When you uninstall Tagfox, the session stored on our server is deleted and Shopify removes the app’s data from your store. Within 48 hours of uninstalling, Shopify sends a shop redaction request and any remaining information about your store is erased.
Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another region with data protection laws, you can ask to access, correct or delete information we hold about you. Contact us at the address below and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
